Submariner
Rolex Submariner 16613 – Purple Dial – Full Set – 1992
An exceptional example of the two-tone Rolex Submariner reference 16613, sold on 10 April 1992 in Rome and preserved in outstanding condition.
The unpolished case retains its original proportions, with sharp edges, well-defined chamfers and full, even lugs. The original geometry remains intact, offering the crisp appearance sought after by collectors. The caseback still retains its original green sticker, further highlighting the watch’s remarkable state of preservation.
The original blue dial has developed a fascinating violet hue over time, creating a subtle purple appearance that changes with the light. Particularly difficult to capture in photographs, this transformation reveals its full depth and character in person, lending the watch a distinctive and individual aesthetic.
The watch is accompanied by its original punched warranty, issued by Pelloni - Hausmann, providing an important element of provenance and completing this highly collectible example.
An honest, unpolished and exceptionally well-preserved Submariner from 1992, distinguished by its original condition, complete set and naturally evolved dial colour.
