Compur
A particularly rare example of the early Universal Genève Compur, dating to 1936 and distinguished by its original black gilt sector dial.
The 35 mm stainless steel case features the characteristic stepped profile of the period, with clean architectural lines that give the watch a remarkably refined presence on the wrist. The black dial retains its original depth, with the printed gilt graphics showing a subtle and natural patina consistent with its age.
Inside is the manual-winding Universal Genève Calibre 285, one of the early chronograph movements produced by the manufacture.
The combination of its early production date, black gilt sector dial, 35 mm stepped steel case and original Cal. 285 makes this a particularly uncommon and highly collectible example of a pre-war Universal Genève chronograph.
